Mo2C introduction Molybdenum carbide, Chemical formula Mo2C,Molecular weight,203.88,Carbon content 5.89%,
Density:8.90g/cm3,Melting point 2690ºC.It's a dark-grey colored metal powder with a 
compact hexagonal crystal. As a new functional material 
with very high fusing point and hardness, good thermal and mechanical stability and 
superb anticorrosive feature, it is applied widely in heat resistant, anti-frication and 
chemical corrosion resistant fields and so forth. With an electronic structure and 
catalytic properties it can also be extensively applied in organic and chemical industries.

 
Mo2C  Application:   
Widely used as a catalyzer in cycloalkane isomerization, unsaturated hydrocarbon 
hydrogenation, hydrodesulfurization,hydrodenitrification;

 
Used as raw material for super hard tools, wear-resistant material, heating material, 
and high - temperature structural materials.

a.0.8um: normally used as additives in carbide, cutting tools,etc. (additive amount:0.1%~2%)

 

b.60-325mesh: mixed with other materials normally used in spraying coating, which have strict 
requirement in particle size and its mixture evenness.

 

c.3~5um:normally used in alloy products.
